Membership Things to know
Welcome and thanks for joining us!
MEMBERSHIP, TIMES AND HOW TO CANCEL
MEMBERSHIPS ARE RECURRING each month. The fee is taken out of your pay source a month out from the day you signed up.
INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO CANCEL – please refer to your gumroad email receipt and click “manage membership”.
Due to fraud, members are responsible for canceling manually. If you cannot find your receipt ( it goes out monthly ) request a receipt resend from Patrick via email.
REFUNDS *You can cancel at any time and partial refunds are honored within the first 24 hours of signing up. This is due to having access to the e-course library. Due to fraud, refunds are only considered on a case-by-case basis to the discretion of Patrick Teahan and staff.
Q&A TIMES rotate bi-weekly on Wednesdays between 7pm and 12pm. The dates and times are announced every Monday in the weekly journal prompt email from Patrick.
Each Q&A is 1.5 hours long and many members stay on the zoom call to connect as a community – like an after session coffee.
Q&A QUESTIONS Questions are submitted here
*Members must submit their questions before the Wednesday of the Q&A scheduled.
*Membership does not guarantee an answer to all questions.
*Questions must be clear, appropriate and under 120 words.
*Not all questions are answerable and are more appropriate for the care and attention of a psychotherapist.
ZOOM PARTICIPATION – All members have the choice to engage at their comfort level – cameras on or off, mics on or off (we start with mics off) is YOUR choice.
Due to member privacy, THE Q&As ARE NOT RECORDED
TECHNOLOGY – YOU DO NOT NEED THE GUMROAD APP – JUST FOLLOW YOUR GUMROAD EMAILS TO ACCESS MATERIALS
Patrick and his team can only troubleshoot receipts regarding your membership. We cannot provide instruction or troubleshoot issues such as not being able to open a pdf or navigate and operating system.
ECOURSES There is no set order of how to use the e-courses but a good starting place is the Family Rules or Children’s Bill of Rights followed by the Genogram.
EMAILING PATRICK OR STAFF admin@patrickteahantherapy.com
DO Email Patrick and staff about receipts, resending pings, and general logistical questions such as time of zoom calls.
DO NOT Email Patrick and staff about: emotional content, questions about courses, asking for referrals, or wanting to communicate about trauma by telling your story. Community members are not Patrick’s clients – firm boundary here.
The only acceptable format to ask emotional questions is through the google form HERE
*Membership does not include access to Patrick Teahan’s psychotherapy services or private email correspondence.
JOURNAL PROMPTS AND ZOOM LINKS
I email all members weekly with attached journal prompts as word docs with the zoom links for the upcoming Q&A
You’ll receive emails from me from pgt.licsw@gmail.com
Submit your Q&A questions for the live Q&A via this google form link and I’ll get them.
*You can ask me questions about anything related to the work, not just the journal prompts of the week or the video link I just gave.
Examples:
- “How do I get my partner into childhood therapy? They resist everything.”
- “How do I get my inner child to stop hating itself?”
- “What do you mean by holding your parents accountable?”
- “My mother in law is abusive to my partner and our kids.”
- What do I do since I freeze?”
- “EMDR didn’t work. What should I try instead?”
- “Is codependency just fawning?”
Questions need to be somewhat short and easy to read and to the point. If I need to ask for more background, I will call upon you if I need you to clarify. You can also decline clarification if you’re not comfortable – no worries. Not every question will be answerable.
DO’S AND DON’TS
- During the live Q&A , please do not disclose graphic or intimate details that might flood you and trigger others – like details about sexual abuse. You can say sexual abuse in your question but avoid explicit detail which is for one on one with a therapist or healer.
- Please keep your questions to childhood trauma and stuck places. Let’s avoid things like politics which can distract us – we’re focusing on the abusive family of origin.
- Please understand that my practice is currently full and I’m not taking on new clients at this time nor am I able to respond to all email requests. I do my best and apologize that you haven’t gotten responses from me but this membership doesn’t guarantee outside responses, or access to sessions or additional responses from me.
- Members can use the chat feature to share resources, ideas, or start community online connections such as FB pages or Reddit or whatever you like.
- For safety, aggressive, inappropriate or abusive members will be removed.
